Jackie Collins (born October 4, 1937) was a bestselling novelist known for juicy romantic thrillers—filled with sex, Hollywood glamour, and criminal intrigue. More than 500 million copies of her books have been sold in more than 40 countries; among them are the Lucky Santangelo series, Lady Boss, Lovers & Players, Rock Star, and The World Is Full of Married Men—which began her writing career when it was published in 1968. Collins was born in London, and her sister is the actress Joan Collins, who starred in a few racy films that were adapted from her books.
