Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee novelist Dee Brown (born February 29, 1908) was at home in the library. Growing up in Little Rock, Arkansas, he spent much of his free time at the public library, and as an adult, he worked as a librarian for the University of Illinois. After he passed away in 2002, the Central Arkansas Library System named a branch library for him.
