On the speed train to Kyoto.  We’re stopping at Nagoya now.  I was amazed by the repetition and simplicity of the structures.  They all so peaceful as the gigantic backdrop of Mt Fuji lingers in their presence.  How would you characterize such a setting in a creation story.  My Fuji (a volcano) erupted and continues to terrify and amaze the inhabitants of its next destructive eruption.  What is that like psychologically?

And what about a cuisine that incorporates raw food like sushi and sashimi?  Did it exist before the discovery of fire?  Or is it by choice?
