Sabeel is one of the daughters of the high priest of the Temple of Amun in the oasis of Siwa.  Her mother was a Libyan (Lamia) and taught her that a real woman’s power lies in her ability to control men.  Men are playthings like pieces in a game of mankala.  You have to sacrifice your body, but the end result is great power.

She gains inside knowledge of the oracle and how it works.

Sabeel meets Stratos (or Manethius) and discovers that she has no power over him.

Is it truly better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all?
