Goodreads Quote of the Day for Saturday
People are fascinated by the rich: Shakespeare wrote plays about kings, not beggars.
Dominick Dunne (born October 29, 1925) was best known for covering high-profile murder cases for Vanity Fair, including the trials of O.J. Simpson, Phil Spector, and Lyle and Erik Menendez. Early on in his career he was a TV and film producer, and his debut novel, The Winners, was about Hollywood. He went on to write popular books on crime and high society like The Two Mrs. Grenvilles, An Inconvenient Woman, A Season in Purgatory, and People Like Us. The power of the pen ran in the family: He was the brother of the late John Gregory Dunne and the brother-in-law of Joan Didion.
