Sent a photo of downtown Lubbock in Christmas.  Mentions that she is thankful to hear from him in advance of her birthday.  Writes that she wishes she could say that he makes her feel good and that she loves him in Arabic.
Kay and Scott (her baby) visited.  Dexter, her husband serving in the military, will arrive the day after tomorrow which makes Kay feel very happy.
Wishes that one day she and he, Kay, Dexter, Sanford and Renata could all "be on the same side of the globe and able to visit one another like normal people do, from house to house, instead of from country to country."
Sanford is still in Germany but since she plans to come to Egypt next October for their wedding, she will invite him to Egypt.
Apologizes to him for not accepting his offer that she come to Egypt to complete her college degree.  She believes his education is more important because it is for "our family's security."  She tells him she can be a wife and a mother without necessarily having a college degree.  And since the husband sets the standards for the rest of the family, he should have the highest degree.
