Okay, I've just finished writing a small set of three paragraphs. It's kind of served as the background of Chris's character and put him into context at the beginning of the story. Now, I go all over the place with it. I have to figure out how to tie everything back together so that it doesn't just seem like some random thoughts that just sound interesting to me. The first thing I talk about is Chris is a morning person. This ties in well with his military background. Everyone who's ever been in the military has gotten used to waking up early in the morning. And in some cases, it is a permanent part of their life, their daily routine. But it's not just a habit for him. He has learned to appreciate it probably because it's an end of the nightmares, but the nightmares that come from his PTSD. And it's also the time when at least the mornings after his military service, they represent one more day that he doesn't have to be in the military any rock. It represents another day as a civilian, a free day. Another day he doesn't have to sit on the gun truck. Another day he doesn't have to touch the cold, hard steel of the rifle. So, but mornings are a time where he learns things. You can't just read up on things, but I could say it's a time of the day that inspires him because the morning is a pure time. No one's asking his attention anymore. No one is giving him orders. His mind is clear. You can watch the nature becomes his friend. You see things he hasn't seen before. You appreciate things he haven't appreciated before. And he too, too.
