Okay, um, it's, uh, March 7th, uh, driving to work. Got some gas, picked up some acre, saw Matthew's mom at acre. Jessica, that's her name, right? Yeah. Um, and, uh, what else? Just trying to give myself some context. Oh, yeah, deposited some cash in the ATM. Yeah. So anyway, um, trying to put more, uh, background into what the flight of course society is, and, uh, it's an old organization. It is, uh, I mean, if we can think of how the Masons operate, uh, that's one of the, I think, first questions, Florence will ask, is, um, whether or not this organization is like the Masons, are you, are you guys like the Masons or the, uh, and no, because one, we have no idea who our other members are. They could be wealthy heads of state entrepreneurs, or they could be simply, you know, peasants, if you will. I mean, they simply have to have the means to, they have to know how to read and write. And the means to, um, receive mail. Although, uh, in various parts of the world, at least that's the rule for, you know, the most of the Western world. There are rules in place in the, uh, underdeveloped world. Uh, that, operate on a different set of, you know, requirements in, in say, in some parts of Africa, uh, you know, there is a system, well, no, I think we'll, we'll leave it at that. You have to know how to read and write, and you have to be able to use the post-toll system. Yeah, I, uh, because if they share the message, then, uh, it's a problem. So they have to have the means to have paper and pen and paper stamp. Um, um, um, now there, there are some members who are willing to help others out. I've heard that, you know, they'll send the, the response postage. They'll include it, or they'll include an, an envelope with a stamp on it, um, in their letters, in the case that, um, that, that certain individual cannot afford it. Um, um, but those are rare and extreme cases. Um, it is, uh, you know, uh, uh, are, are, are members, and I don't like members, but, uh, we don't, you're not a member, but you're, um, and you're not a believer. There's nothing to believe. Uh, we have to come up with our participants, I think, is the best way to describe us. Our participants, um, are all, you know, willing. So, you know, they, they found us because they, they have the means. Now, some would argue that, uh, uh, when, there are, um, have been other, I guess, trusted messenger systems out there. And, uh, but we're the oldest. That would be pretty cool if we could, we could say, yeah, we, uh, we helped the great blah, blah, blah, you know, some crusader, uh, send messages back and forth. We helped, um, uh, the mざens. We were simply the messenger's, we, um, We instructed them on the... We passed the message now of... We passed drawings of the pyramids to the Mayan civilization from Egypt. Yeah, think of other kind of moments in history where... These... The ability to pass shared anonymous secrets... Shared anonymous secrets... Back and forth using... It wasn't... We're not a messenger service, although we use the postal system today. We are... We operate... I mean, we're not like... We are secretive, but we are not... Clendestine. We are simply... We are anonymous, but not secretive. It is important to know that... Who we are is not important. It is what we do that's important. We share messages from around the world. And in the... We correspond through... Chain letters and radios... Radio. With the advent of radio, we... We're able to increase the... Speed of our messages. So, yeah. If you are interested in sharing ideas... And if you have a kind of unbiased... Or if you believe that there is... That the judgment of mankind against your fellow man... Is somehow... An undesirable aspect of our society... Then... This is an outlet for you. So, yeah. If you want to speak to a world leader... You can't... By simply using... By simply participating. But by participating... You have to correspond. If you are left or right... Your left or right link will stop notifying you... If they don't hear from you... And you will never get a response again... From any of the addresses that you send to... You will be labeled as a non-participant. So, it's important that... With the receipt of every letter... That you try to truthfully answer the questions. And perhaps they are not just questions sometimes... But they are also... Actions. For example... We had a member one time in India... Who wanted to... What would you want to do in India? I have to think about some act of benevolence or kindness... That was made to appear as if it was a miracle... That it was made to appear as if it was just happenstance. We are that... We can do those things. But it was... But it was done nonetheless. We are not the reason wars get started. In fact... It is when we lose membership... Or we lose participation through death... Or perhaps a participant... No longer practices. When we lose... When perhaps the jealousy or envy... Or evil thoughts creep in... We can't stop conflict. We are not here to stop it. We are here to preserve sanity and happiness... With the recognition that they must exist in a balance. So... When there is famine we try to help... Do we... End the famine? No. Will we help another member... Try to accumulate wealth? No. That is not our point. Do our members know each other? We are fairly certain that most of our members do not know each other. If there is a suggestion... Or if it is possible... It is infinite... There is a tiny, tiny possibility... Maybe I will get to that later in the story... But there could be a possibility that two members know each other. But our members do not know each other in person. So... How then are you able to... So the idea is that you have to swear an oath that you will never seek out. You will never seek for... Or ask... Or pursue... The real identity of another member in the flight of horse... Or in... Based on address records... A lead that you might get through the correspondence... If you do that grounds for dismissal... And no one will reply to your letters. If you move... You will have to state that you are moving. If you... Are dismissed and try to reapply... What happens if you are dismissed and you try to reapply? How can they prevent you from coming back? That's a tough one. How do they prevent you from coming back? You've got your mailing address which you can change. You can even get a PO box. Your handwriting won't change that much. You can try and change it. That's really not going to matter. I'm sorry. Thank you. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Okay, so I couldn't necessarily figure out what happens to prevent someone from reapplying or how they can guarantee that you'll be permanently dismissed. But I did just in the process come up with the idea for the portrayal story. So the the portrayal story is when perhaps the right link is speaking to Florence is writing to Florence and telling her the story of when two members were dismissed because they fell in love or not fell in love but they they one person found the other person. Thus betraying the oath that they took when they became a participant but also betraying the trust of other members. This person was the right link for I don't know Sophie we will say Sophie of the something Sophie of the Water Lillies. Sophie of the Water Lillies was a painter and she contributed many stories about life that were quite enjoyable to read however one of the members her left link who's who went by I'm gonna just say Balthazar of the Undead grew obsessed with Sophie's real identity and traveled to her country to meet her in person. She didn't know it was him until maybe she discovered that the right link was not responding. Yeah in fact she discovered that it was him. She fell in love with him. She fell in love with the real man and but accused him publicly or at least accused him in the forum of betraying his oath and therefore he was dismissed and Sophie also recused herself because she loved him and but she knew she had also perhaps there was a part of her that knew it was him and she knew she had betrayed her oath the oath she took by remaining with him. So perhaps they are now you know together still we don't know but we have no longer we are no longer in contact with them. And that is at least the story of betrayal now the real story of betrayal is going to be a story of antiquity betrayal and antiquity perhaps between you know two other cultures and maybe it's their story maybe it is actually the story provided by Sophie and Balthazar before they they before she accuses him of breaking his oath and before she recuses herself as a participant. And perhaps she recuses herself first because it was more important to her to accuse him of breaking his oath because you know because she discovered that he was a participant and he was her right link and he met her in real life and she accused him perhaps she thought that this was the only way she would know if it was really him. And so no one really knew what happened to them. She he tried to appeal and deny that he knows her. But in the end he was dismissed. I have to think of the more details around that but that sounds actually like a pretty good story for betrayal at least for the you know the pen pal part the pen pal story of just betrayal because there is this concept of the pen pal trust the trust that perhaps we can remain anonymous and tell each other our deepest secrets. Now I have to think of some story that kind of parallels that when we come up with betrayal but it's still still haven't figured out. Now so perhaps what this this story can also shed light on is is whether or not someone can be reborn. In fact that's what they're called they're called births birth announcements. So the birth announcements are new members essentially. And death deaths are members who have either stopped participating or they are yeah they have stopped participating they've fallen off the radar they are not the same as ones that are dismissed one's have a trial and the participants yeah the participants have to decide so perhaps Florence becomes a juror in in the trial of Balthazar and Sophie. So yeah and in the process Florence discovers that yes there is a possibility that you can be reborn that perhaps Balthazar was reborn as someone else we don't know there are certainly other members who were influenced by Balthazar and there's perhaps a suggestion that Balthazar was more than one participant. He was a sneaky one he was very cunning and we have no idea rumor there was a suggestion during the trial that that the you know Sophie was accusing the wrong participant that perhaps he was a Balthazar the participant was a decoy to for another participant who still remains in the society and so although and it's quite possible Sophie could have could have been reborn we simply don't know but we are okay with that because we give people the opportunity to reinvent themselves if they truly did learn their lesson after breaking the rule or violating the rules and breaking the oath and then making amends or you know doing their time essentially they're allowed to be reborn no one's no one's ever challenged getting remaining perhaps after no one's ever I don't know if I'm going to get that you know challenging the rules and all that kind of stuff but that's definitely betrayal now what's cool is that Florence's membership will be announced in the story of the miraculous birth so as along with that story will be Florence's story of being born okay I'm pausing it now
