The land where ra awakens is a story of a baker trying to save his daughter’s life.  She has a rare allergy to bread wheat.  He takes her on a journey to the land of the white seed eaters.  He is penniless at this point but ends up saving her life because of the diet in this land (rice/fish).  There are no four walkers and all the people live off the fis they catch, steamed vegetables and rice.  Together they learn the language and live permanently in this new land.  She gets married and bears children with her husband who is a native of the land.

The baker sat next to his daughter who had just fallen off to sleep.  He had spent the last several hours chanting the sacred texts and burning the purest incense he could find.  This wasn’t the first time he had to perform this sacred ritual to ward off the evil spirits inside her. (What are her physical symptoms?  D scribe the diet of this particular village.  Emphasize bread and gluten.)

The shaman was worried about the baker.  Everyone in the village watched as he came and went from his hut.  One night half the town was just outside the hut coming to discuss the meaning of a shooting star, but he was too busy with the baker.  The baker was sobbing at his wits end and screaming for the gods to listen.

The shaman met with the village elders and together they devised a plan to get rid of the baker and his daughter for good.

They would send the baker and his daughter on a journey toward the sun.  She must be cured by lots of sun.

The baker taught his understudies the final secret to his bread and set out on trip to get closer to the sun.  He and his daughter walked for days and days until they reached the point nd of where their feet would take them.  A mountain of water stood before th. They had no idea what to do.

They could still see the sun and so they knew their journey was not complete.  One day a man on a boat sailed ashore.  He was carrying a huge net of water walkers.  But those water walkers were of a gigantic size.  The baker asked the fisherman where he found them.  The fisherman replied, saying that he found many of them where Ra comes out of his dreams.  The baker asked him which direction is that.  The fisherman pointed to the horizon just under the sun.

The baker decided that this must be the place the village elders were talking about.  He told the fisherman to take him to the place where the large water walk live.  The fisherman told the baker that the journey is a hard one.  If he has never walked on water then he will surely get sick and die.  The baker didn’t care, he insisted that the fisherman take them there.

They set sail the next morning.  They went out to the point where water surrounded them as far as their eyes could see.
