Goodreads Quote of the Day for Monday

Crime writer Patricia Highsmith (born January 19, 1929) rocketed to fame when her first novel, Strangers on a Train, was adapted by Alfred Hitchcock. The year after that movie was released, she published The Price of Salt under a pseudonym. It was one of the first novels in which a lesbian relationship was given a happy ending, and Highsmith claimed that it sold over a million copies.
