Goodreads Quote of the Day for Tuesday

Canadian artist and writer Emily Carr (born December 13, 1871) is best known for her paintings but she first gained recognition as an author. Influenced greatly by time spent among the indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast, Carr wrote a number of popular, critically acclaimed collections of short stories and “word-sketches” (including Klee Wyck (1941), The Book of Small (1942), and The House of All Sorts (1944)) as well as other works about her journeys to remote Native communities, her life and her childhood.
