Download now: http://bit.ly/37jAP3b The Sacred City presents compelling evidence that suggests the holy city of Mecca is in the wrong location and that the worlds 1.6 billion Muslims are praying in the direction of the wrong city. Compiling evidence from both historic sources and new technologies point to the correct location in this seismic, revelatory new film. In this startling and original documentary, writer and historian, Dan Gibson, shows that descriptions of Mohamed’s original holy city – as detailed in the Qur’an and Islamic histories, do not match that of the Mecca we know today. If true this could shake Islam to it’s roots, because every Muslim is required to pray towards the ‘forbidden gathering place’. If Dan Gibson is right, Muslims are praying in the wrong direction. In the film ‘The Sacred City’ we set out his evidence from within Islamic and ancient histories – while also using modern technologies - to track down the biggest secret of the last fifteen hundred years. Gibson not only finds the location of the original Mecca but also provides a convincing argument as to how such a great misunderstanding in Islamic history came about. While clearly controversial, The Sacred City is respectful of Islam’s prophet, and does not dispute the events of the Qur’an; but shows how a deliberate attempt was made to hide from Islam, secrets that impact every Muslim today. The evidence is compelling and fascinating. In a time when the world agenda is being set by Islam, it is more important than ever for the origins and history of this world religion to be examined afresh. This is an important documentary with world-wide appeal for both religious and secular audiences. Beautifully filmed in the ruins and deserts of the middle east, the film is a detective story that investigates the dawn of Islam and will become the most talked about film for years to come. Raihan Sayeed | Is there zam-zam well in Petra ? If the Masjid al-Haram was situated in the Petra then zam zam well should be in Petra also.

fgh | Four points in this well researched documentary that I find fault with: 1- It assumes that the uneducated people of that age (600AC) all had knowledge to perfectly align the Mosque to the Qiblaa at every location a Mosque was built - I personally doubt that assumption. 2- Every year the Islamic nation heads for Haj. This means that thousands of people performing Haj during that period had to travel to Mecca. According to this documentary during the early period of Islam Haj pilgrims in their thousands would have travelled to Petra. Then for a period would have split to travelling between Petra and Mecca. There is simply no mention or evidence of that. If Muslims during that period went to Petra or two places for Haj that knowledge would have been documented somewhere and preserved in the cultural memory. 3- True Mecca is in a desert area, but it sits on a water tableau. You can literally find water anywhere you dig in Mecca. 4- Petra during 600 AD was part of the Byzantine empire.

E Simm | "The place of becca, or weeping" makes sense as a name that refugees and their descendants would have used to refer to the magnificent home of Petra that they had to abandon because of earthquakes.

Mohd Rafick | I watched the video 5 times and many in piecemeal and try to find counter-argument to Dan Gibson (DG) by searching the internet. Unfortunately, I have yet to find anything conclusive to reject DG work. One need to watch several times so that you can pick up the essence of the video and look at it objectively without any religious biases. This is what I gather (1) Both Quran & Jewish source confirms the existence of a place called Becca or Mecca and this is used interchangeably. (2) What DG trying to affirm is that the present day Mecca is NOT the original Mecca of Masjidil Haram. The original Mecca is in Petra Jordan. He supports this based on the following (a) Present-day Mecca is not a valley and dry ie No running streams. Refer Psalms 84:5-10 (KJV) that says Becca is a Valley and has water) (b) Alignment of prayers direction in the first 100 years of Islam is towards Original Mecca (c) Masjid Qiblatin Qiblah if accurately measures also face the Original Mecca (d) Present Day Mecca is not in trade route and has no archeological evidence. Petra, on the other hand, has plenty of evidence of old civilization (e) The early human civilizations on the ground have always been around the Mediterranean sea from Arab to Non Arab land (f) Original Mecca (Petra) has been described as a garden, with arable land but the current Mecca has no arable land (g) Old maps have no records of the existence of Mecca in the current location (h) The Safa - Marwa is not a mountain in the current location but pieces of large rocks Dan concluded that the original Kaabah was moved by the ancestors of the current Saudi Royal family after it lost their battle in a civil war. They had to move to an area where there is water and this place was chosen because it has underground water (ie zam zam) Sadly I have not found any evidence that proves that such move and civil war did not take place The one piece that DG did not explain is the Zam Zam well and the history of this well. I have been trying to contact DG by email but could not get his email address. If he can provide historical evidence related to Zam Zam well, it would provide clarity (either way ie support or oppose DG theory) That's my 2 cents. I welcome objectives and nonemotional counter arguments or evidence by readers. Thank you
