Goodreads Quote of the Day for Tuesday
I am probably exaggerating a little, but I owe my equilibrium to ink and paper.
French American writer Julien Green (born September 6, 1900) served in the French army during World War I and in the U.S. army in World War II—and dark, violent themes run through his novels. They are written in French and often set in small French towns or in the American South; in fact, his play Sud (or South) became the basis of an opera with music by composer Kenton Coe. Green was the first person with American parents to be elected to the prestigious Académie Française.
