I have a reason to cover my hair
I have a good reason to cover my hair. It’s to keep the little imp inside me from getting out and wreaking havoc all over the place. Sometimes it’s so sudden too. It’ll happen at night, when I walk in my sleep. And I’ll wake up in the morning not knowing who or where I was for the night. I’m all flustered for the rest of the day because I can’t take it back. It’s like that time when Rania turned eighteen and just got married. We all went to her wedding and she looked scared. Then she was just another married woman with kids at the mosque. I tried to talk to her now and then, but she was too distracted with her kids and her husband. And then there was that time that Dina moved to Egypt. Again, it happened just like that. One day she was hanging out with the other girls and the next day she was gone.
