[Written on unruled paper, parchment. Her pen strokes are more angular and less curvy signifying that this is a serious message.] This is an unusual letter because she begins with an apology. She feels that her third letter sounded too affectionate and may have mislead him. There seems to have been a natural loss in translation, along with a little wishful thinking that caused Samir to believe she had intimate feelings for him.
She mentions that he misunderstood her intentions when she referred to the titles of some songs she enjoyed. She like love ballad [not for the words] but for the music. She is very flustered even on the page and is afraid she'm making more mistakes by even raising the issue.
After telling him that she never intended to write love letter, she asks if he wants to continue being her pen pal. She hopes so because she wants to complete her fairy tale [the story of their correspondence] called "The Caverns of Confusion".
She finally mentions that she was so furious from his last letter that she burned all of his letters.
