After the tour of Whole Foods, Adam seems obsessed with the apple and offers to buy dessert for his students if it is made from apples: apple juice, apple flavored items, apple butter, apple pie, smoothie, tea, apple crisps.  Perhaps the Dagastani Jewish girl prefers apples and honey, while the Chinese girl prefers it in a tea drink.

And when he takes them out to sixth street, he rewards them with a drink if they can order a classic american cocktail.  Who orders what?  How does it characterize who they are?
