Photography is not limited to the use of digital. Certainly digital is a revolution, the quality of clichés is incomparable and the extreme ease of use. The argentic photography still has its followers, they do not fight more on the level of the pure definition of the film. In addition, the photo has a story, long black and white. Admire the portraits of the 1850s made on wet collodion plates of a sensibly low sensitivity and using a Petzval type lens whose only center has a correct dive. Well, they are works of art. Same for the views of Paris by Daguerre, ditto for the shots of Atget etc .... until

Personally I am rather passionate about the material, certainly I develop myself at home, including the color but the theme of this site is not really old or non-development processes. Other sites do it perfectly. I am interested mainly in the material, within the limits of my means. Often I buy appliances that I can repair.

The genealogy of this passion is multiple. I was bottle fed the photo and the beautiful material, that of my grandparents, then that of my parents. Besides, they appear in my collection when they have survived time, otherwise I got the same. At 18, I bought a Minolta X700. My first device, which still works. Around 2003, my first digital, disappointing, then a SLR in 2005. Satisfied and a little disappointed at the same time, I took out the old material and I plunged back in time, always more over the years and years.
