Goodreads Quote of the Day for Monday

Canadian women's rights activist and author Emily Murphy (born March 14, 1868) is one of the "Valiant Five." Together with Henrietta Muir Edwards, Nellie McClung, Louise McKinney and Irene Parlby, she launched the Persons Case, which argued women should have the right to sit in the Senate of Canada. The "Valiant Five" won their case in 1929—and each of them were named honorary senators in 2009.
