Alright, it's February 3rd, 5.21 pm. I'm the 101 North. Just crossed the Richmond San Rafael Bridge and I'm heading home for the day. And just got off the phone with Toss talking to him about Samir and private school, this public school. So anyway, what else happened today? Oh, the weird thing that happened today, one, I was trying to figure out what Gerald's book is all about. I still don't know what it's about, even though I can read what it the title says. So something Hebrew, I want to say possibly Jewish like Hebrew grammatical structures in the Arabic synah. So the structure of the Arabic language, I don't know, but you know, those words are super like academic. So I don't really know what they mean. But anyway, and he sent me some pictures, you know, screenshots from, not screenshots, pictures of some pages from the book and I don't understand it. But anyway, and then after that, I had lunch with James and Julie and Yvette just talked about kids and the Super Bowl and I left over nachos from the Super Bowl. And then I came back to the office and found out we have a surprise meeting at 230, which was weird. No one seemed to know what it was about. And then we went in and found out that walk has given notice. I could see the writing on the wall there. He did not look happy. But yeah, he was also very emotional in the meeting. So yeah, I didn't know what to think of that. I was upset that he's leaving, but you know, I wasn't surprised. Anyone in his situation would find that, you know, although this place is a great place, he wasn't really being given challenging work or work that would allow him to, you know, shine the way he would like to shine. But yeah, not really sure what he wants for himself, but I wish him good luck. I will also note that it was weird that this happened, although maybe not, I don't know, you know, walked his nice guy. I consider him a friend. I had a dream about him where I may have actually mentioned it in a previous dictation where I was dreaming that, you know, I was on a freeway with him and all the cars were going backwards and he was leading me backwards. And then all of a sudden, he let me or I discovered him in a room. Yeah, I remember now. I dictated this and didn't have any clothes on and he wasn't happy. He was hurt almost. And I can, it's possible that that's what was going on inside him a whole time. Like, you know, maybe what happened. I don't know if it was work related that this happened to him or what, but anyway. So let me pause to get on to the real, the dictation related to flight of

Okay, it's 5.26 p.m. February 3rd. I'm heading north on the 101 just passing the Civic Center. I'm actually coming up over the hill that looks onto the... I don't know exactly what hills these are, but the hills through San Rafael and the Civic Center's on my right. Terralinda exit. Flight of horse. The last that I had kind of spoke about was the dual meaning of the word horse and how to apply that to the story. What I want to talk about now is who is... So there is a presence or a person that I feel like must be pursuing, and horse and rosalicia. And this presence or person should be tied to one of them. And what I think is appropriate is that... well at least I got this new idea that... and the whole time I thought it was Horace's aunt. But now I want Horace's aunt to actually... either no Florence closely or B Florence, one of those two things. And Horace actually doesn't know his mother. His mother is Florence, but he doesn't know her. So either he will learn at the same time or he will never learn from... like if... let's say the scenario where Ida admits to... or passively admits to Rosalicia that she was Florence. Does she tell Horace? No, I think in that scenario it's one where... it has to close in a way where... something Horace cannot notice. He has to know the whole time that she was his aunt and not his mother. Another scenario is that she really is his aunt and was a very good friend to his mother... was his mother's closest friend in Egypt or you know, closest confidante. And followed her instructions to take care of her son. That's another possible. So those are the two situations, but either way I don't want Ida pursuing Rosalicia or Horace. Now, what is the purpose of the pursuit? Well, in my opinion, the purpose of the pursuit is... in the story at least to... the pursuer is someone who thinks that their marriage is false. Rosalicia is posing as Dina. And so Rosalicia is spinning image of Dina. It's just absolutely uncanny to believe that they match each other so well. Secondly, Dina has some kind of... she is a hybrid Egyptian. She does not, you know, so... and she hasn't spent her life in Egypt. So her relatives there wouldn't necessarily know her. Thirdly, the word gets out that Rosalicia, as Dina, has gotten married to Horace. And therefore, you know, people should celebrate, you know, but in typical marriages, well, in this case, those who weren't notified were are feeling left out and upset and hurt and humiliated and offended. And so it turns out that perhaps a distant uncle or aunt of Rosalicia, not of Rosalicia, of Dina, is actually pursuing them. And we're going to say that maybe she's a flight attendant or he's a pilot. And in every city they're in, he's calling them to say, hey, I'd like to see you guys. And they're always running away from him. But, you know, he doesn't understand why they're running away from him. Or if they are, he depends on their excuses. He is definitely... He or she is in constant. You know, he starts to... I think making him a pilot is better because then he's signing up for flights, trying to find out where they are. And so, yeah, what does this represent? Well, don't really know. I think the pursuit is actually feels a lot like time ticking. Like, time is running out on this story. And it must be told before it's too late. And so, both for me and perhaps for Rosalicia. And if that's the case, then what is it about the actual diary that's in our hands? What is it about this diary that forces them to... that compels them really to seek these... to take these little adventures? Why do they need to do that? What happens when they do that? Now, one of the things I said was that... I had said earlier that this diary is an object and it's transformative. And is it possible that there's more than one? I don't know if I've dictated this, but if there's more than one... how does Florence... is Florence the one continuously presenting Rosalicia with it to try and compel her to seek the truth? Sorry, that's my first stab at this. But Rosalicia is evading someone who might send word back to the real Dina that there's an imposter in her place. Well, let's put it this way. If there's a girl outside of Egypt... or if there's an uncle inside Egypt who thinks that Dina has just gotten married... and he hasn't been invited to the wedding... what reason would he have to think that she is anywhere else other than in Egypt with horrors? Now, it is a time period when email wasn't really being used. So, that's a plus for the story. But telephones can be used. And telephones can keep people from talking to each other overseas or they can allow them to. Now, would Dina have her parents around anymore? Maybe not. Maybe that's why she and Horace kind of liked each other because parents get in the way of relationships and they can just be who they are. And maybe their marriage is being challenged because this man is looking for his... Well, so... I guess you don't pay the money to the father, so if you can't be like a maha. So, yeah, what is in it for this man to be challenging? Maybe he knows and he's just flat out corrupt and thinks whatever game they've got... if indeed, you know... there is money to be had, he could expose them unless they pay him money. But at the very least in this scenario, I know that who I had thought was pursuing them, was Horace's aunt. No, that's not the case. But is it possibly a distant relative of Dina's yes? Or it doesn't even have to be... an uncle or an aunt. It could be an ex-boyfriend. It could be a boy she dated. Yeah, and... Yeah, in fact... maybe he's not... so let's say for example... Dina had a relationship with a man and used Horace as a decoy as a distraction because she thought the relationship was destructive. She didn't like him anymore or she perhaps just wanted to make him jealous. And so, yeah, I have to parallel this with what I know from a family history, so to speak. So... Yeah, and... so if Dina... she breaks up with Horace right before the flight because she... that's when she tells him, look, I'm not in love with you. It's not going to work out, okay? Now... does she go back with this other man? Well... maybe it's Dina who's pursuing them. But still, it... don't really know. They're getting married, but... it's in Dina's name, and so she definitely doesn't want that on. So it's either Dina or... yeah, because a woman obviously can't get married twice. And so... maybe it's her boyfriend who's going after them... in hopes of... pleading her name so that he can marry her. But yeah... these are all other aspects to the story. I really need to find out... you know... how does... I have this... I have the one part of the story where... if indeed... so let's just say Rosa Alitia is trying to... prove that she's not crazy when it comes to the diary. Now... if she... you know, if the diary mentions things... and they can be substantiated... and that proves that she's not crazy about that particular thing. Like... someone has actually received Florence's letter... and saved it. And that someone is... Horace's dad. So if she can substantiate that, that's huge. So maybe... it's simply a matter of finding a single letter. It doesn't have to be all of the letters. It just needs to be a single letter. And everywhere they go... what's the purpose? So Florence has vindicated so what? I have what cost to Rosa Alitia? Is that gonna help her? Don't know yet. Well, it give her closure over something... other than knowing who to give the book to... but she will... because she will have devoted her life to it. Is it something she can even give up now? It's part of her. So yeah... I have to think about what... is the price... the price but... what is the reward? The true reward of vindication. I mean, how does one become... vilified to begin with? You know, is she indeed chased... does she consider herself a villain? I don't know. It's one of those things that drives you crazy in your younger years. And you chase because... you... you think it's right. And then over time you realize... that it has nothing to do with right or wrong now. It's who you are. And that's like the metaphor for life. Maybe that's what's happening. Maybe near the end of the story... you know, we can see the transformation of Rosa Alitia... and... I don't know into an older woman where she's... more mature and understanding. I don't know. I don't know if that's going to be any better. But if I were reading this in our... listening to a protagonist... a protagonist pick up a book and then... try and return it and no one wanting it. And then one day something out of that book... comes to life. And all of a sudden that book has meaning... and that book has... acts as a symbol for something. And out of that one indication... that out of that one indication of truth... that one has led to a life-changing experience. Well... what do you do? Do you follow it or you don't follow it? So, Rosa Alitia would have to have a history of... you know, it's part of her heritage, her family... like, conception, her mother followed this sudden urge to come to the United States. And through that urge she... you know, was able to... stay as a... you know, I'm just blah, blah, blah... not really making any sense. I think I'm the pause.
