So I’m sitting at a Taziry Eco Village in the Siwa oasis. I’ve been thinking of a new story type. I don’t know if this has been done before but I want to tell a story the way we look at a photo. The I think the idea for this started when Heidi and I were having a conversation about how to how language limits our communication but more importantly how language limits our emotional communication. Photos and stories are similar photos tell only part of the story. When you look at a photo you don’t know what happened before it necessarily. And you don’t know what happened after it. I think there is a style or format or a genre of storytelling that can be done in the same manner as a photo freezing time but accentuating the emotional and spiritual and otherworldly aspect within.
