Some people you will always have about you whom you can trust, and no man these days can boast of more than that. Remember them; forget the others.
While serving in the trenches during World War I, Hugh Lofting (born January 14, 1886) created the character of Doctor Doolittle, an English physician who can talk to animals. Lofting said writing about Doolittle's fictional escapades was much more enjoyable than writing about actual news from the front, which was either too horrific or too dull.
