Rhythms and the human organism

Heart beats at the same tempo as Ravel's Bolero.  We breathe to the duple meter.

Our songs are never shuffled.  We awake/sleep to a playlist that always on replay.  We have internal processes that are synchronized with external time.  Night jobs are called the graveyard shift because they kill you.  We are not meant to be conscious when the stars are visible in the night sky.  The ground rhythm within us orchestrates body processes as well as psychological ones.  Marriages, births and even suicides follow a rhythm, the rhythm of the sun, light, warmth and the reminder that we posses it or it possesses us.  When it does, depression sets in.  We are out of tune.

To breathe is to sing.  The power of breathing can heal.  Tuberculosis
