They started screeming at the idea of meeting so many people from all over the world. "But Florence," Sandra said. "You know my mother is so nosy. I don't want her reading any of my letters. Can I use your address instead?"
The shy Florence, so willing to be her friend, "Sure, no problem. My mother is too busy quilting and making things that don't need to be made."
Florence knew that the best time to ask her mother was on Sunday afternoon. She was always in a good mood after church and a good brunch at the cafeteria. Florence asked her mother if she had ever made paper, "You know by hand." she said as she rolled her palms over one another.
There was no way their parents were going pay to let them send letters to a whole network of friends Sandra knew how to get stamps. She couldn't buy them, but she could sure hustle them. She was one of the smartest girls in school. But the only one who could get stamps for her was the other smart kid, Mark Sugartop. Yep that was his name, his parents changed their name after they made a fortune off of their miniature golf parks.
F needed stamps also, but would do
