Nora came from a farming family. Her grandparents owned the farm that she and her parents lived on. They took care of the farm and eventually inherited it from them.
She was able to attend college at Texas Tech. When she graduated, she was earning $80/month, an amazing amount considering it was in 1934.
She liked to go to Pioneer dances.
