This photo jumped out at me when I placed the negatives on my light table. I knew I had a good portrait shot of my daughter on our recent trip to Maui. This one was taken at Hāna Farms halfway through the winding often one-lane highway 360, better known as The Road to Hāna. We had to stop for a bite to eat at @hanafarms, an oasis of homemade goodies and farm-to-table nourishments. We wandered around the farm and gardens as we waited for our food. The light was perfect in the shade of the taro plants and she knew exactly what to do. I promised her copious amounts of in banana bread and Lilikoi soda if I could share the photo here. She agreed.
